Use the tornado near the crystal formation to launch yourself in the air. Continue jumping to the higher platforms using the tornadoes. Make sure you are not mounted or it won't work (as of this post). The mob has a tether which is quite nasty, so make sure to burn it and dash away...preferably not off the platform.
